Hotel Review
The Three Hills, Bartlow, Cambridgeshire
An elegant 17th-century inn with an award-winning restaurant and ensuite rooms set in a small, pretty village in southern Cambridgeshire. The Grade II-listed Three Hills faces the narrow River Granta at the edge of tiny Bartlow, the smallest village in the county with just 110 residents. Dogs enjoy almost equal footing with human patrons and are warmly welcomed at the bar, and in the six contemporary rooms and spacious two-bedroomed flat. We loved the award-winning Orangery Restaurant serving British-inspired cuisine that is recognised by 2 AA Rosettes, a Michelin Plate and, for the first time in 2021, a Top 50 gastropub placing by Estrella Damm. It's perfect for a weekend away.

Rooms
We stayed in Granta, the two-bedroom flat with exposed beams and dusky pink accents on cushions and blankets, and a Roberts Radio on the bedside table. The room has a very comfy king size bed, and real milk in a tiny table-top fridge to accompany a Nespresso.
Boxington, Fayence, Wykeham, Rosetta, Folland, Hardwick, Granta

Food & Drink
The restaurant had attentive service, with candy pink Gerbera in small vases on the tables. We recommend the soft, warm date and ginger sponge and toffee sauce combined with the sharp, cold taste of neon green apple sorbet.
Orangery Restaurant: dining room with heated patio, British cuisine. Dishes include venison loin and cod supreme. Open Wed-Sat for lunch and dinner. Sunday lunch served 12-4pm.
