Hotel Review
Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, St Helier, Jersey
Sitting in a prime position just set back from the Esplanade and overlooking Elizabeth Castle, the Grand has been welcoming dapper guests since 1891. There's nothing fusty about the interiors however - they've had a complete overhaul in recent years and are slick and contemporary. Period flourishes can still be seen in the ornate plasterwork and grand central staircase. Rooms are executive in feel and have either sea or park views. The terrace is alive with the post-work crowd in the summer and the fine-dining restaurant Tassili serves theatrical haute cuisine, which has earned the restaurant four AA Rosettes. Facilities include a private cinema, an Elemis spa and a health club.
