Hotel Review
Hotel VEINTIUNO, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Downtown souped-up B&B Hotel VEINTIUNO is an ideal base for strolling the charming cobbled streets of olde-worlde Vegueta, 500 and a bit years after Christopher Columbus. The (in)famous explorer stopped off in the Gran Canaria capital to make repairs to his fleet on the way to sailing the ocean blue in 1492. A converted traditional Canarian family home, VEINTIUNO is lavishly fitted with all the modern conveniences. Survey the local scene and enjoy epic views of the adjoining Santa Ana cathedral from the roof terrace. There has been a rash of new boutique hotels in the city, but VEINTIUNO is one of the originals and still better than all the rest - it provides the template others want to emulate.
