Hotel Review
Passford House Hotel, Lymington, Hampshire
A charming and friendly country house hotel. Don't come here for the latest in interior design, but come for roaring log fires, expansive and characterful gardens and warm, attentive service. The food in the restaurant is very good, with classic dishes such as twice baked cheese souffle and glazed lamb shank with red cabbage and mash. The massage room overlooking the garden is a peaceful retreat and the hotel's masseuse Heather McGee-Parkin will work her magic on your body. The Monet-inspired garden has a bridge over a little lake flanked with a wooden hut on one side and a treehouse on the other. Some bedrooms are slightly dated, with polished brown wooden desks and tables, however fresh flowers and floral fabrics make them cheerful places to stay.
