Hotel Review
The Woolpack, Totford, Hampshire
With bags of character and well turned out rooms, this is the perfect place to stay if you've come to enjoy the country walks and outdoor activities that this pretty part of England offers. The menu makes full use of the rich pickings from the area: trout from the chalk streams, game, small-production cheeses and watercress from Alresford, which is a 10-minute drive away. Dogs are warmly welcomed and gun-lockers are provided in each of the seven rooms if you've come to shoot in season. Rooms are country-chic and you can see the 19th-century flint and brick construction on the bare walls, which is offset with deep blue or grey paint.
