Hotel Review
The Yarrow Hotel, Broadstairs, Kent
The Yarrow is set within the East Kent College campus and staffed largely by enthusiastic college apprentices newly out of hospitality courses, giving it an air of youth and energy. The slick service is also down to the professional hoteliers and restaurateurs overseeing it. An attractive Grade II-listed renovated Jacobethan-style building, the ceilings are high, and the façade full of windows makes for a light filled interior. Conveniently, there's plenty of car parking spaces in the hotel grounds and if you like walking, you can go by foot to the seaside. The restaurant is one of the best dining offers in the area, using the finest local Kentish ingredients. A sauna, steam room and spa treatments are also ready and waiting for you to relax.

Style & Character
It's well suited to those eager to explore Thanet while wanting a clean, smart place to call 'home' for a night or two. We particularly like the large original stain glass doors, allowing natural light to fill the corridors.
Service & Facilities
When the breakfast waiter got my 'oat flat white' wrong and I was in a rush to pack and leave, I was really impressed he brought the correct coffee to my room afterwards.

Rooms
Our suite, 105, is a charming, calming space - with a muted, modern colour palette and plenty of room, including its own entrance hall. We love the split-level design and size of the suite, with two bathrooms and a seating area, it feels more homely than a smaller area.

Food & Drink
We really enjoyed the crunchy pork croquette, beautifully balanced with a creamy celeriac remoulade and fresh watercress which started a tasty meal. The very chocolatey chocolate tart, refreshing banana ice cream and nostalgic honeycomb pudding left a lasting impression too.
