Hotel Review
Slebech Park Estate, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire
Slebech Park Estate is an extraordinary character-packed, 20-room, luxury B&B, created from the big old stable block of an elegant, currently unused, Georgian manor house, situated beside the Dan Gleddau tidal river estuary in Wales. The historic 650-acre estate lies just a couple of miles from the A40 in the heart of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, surrounded by nothing but gorgeous views, water birds, bats and even otters if you're lucky. It's paradise for walkers and nature lovers. So what if mobile signals and WiFi are a little erratic - the peace and quiet more than make up for it. What's more, and surprisingly given its isolation, it has a phenomenal little restaurant, too.

Style & Character
Due to its welcome lack of stuff for youngsters - playgrounds, kids' clubs etc - Slebech is heaven on Earth for adults, especially walkers, wildlife lovers and those looking for something special. We loved everything - from the tree trunk seats by the water and the al fresco courtyard tables and chairs, to the wet-room bathrooms and the peaceful nights' sleep.
Service & Facilities
There are gorgeous views over the water, with a peaceful atmosphere, as well as the mysterious medieval church ruins and intriguing family history of the estate. Seven rooms are pet-friendly at a cost of £15 per dog, per night. Walkies galore are on the paw-step.

Rooms
The Wall (Classic) Room was the first bedroom to be fully restored when the property was privately bought in 2015. Like the others, it makes the most of Welsh slate, stonework and local craftsmen. The massive floor-to-ceiling windows and shutters allow light to flood the room and guests to look out over the courtyard.
Granary Room, Classic Room, Deluxe Room, Luxury Room, Family Room
Facilities include: ensuite bathroom with toiletries, tea and coffee facilities, bottled water, flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi
Food & Drink
At the gorgeous little first floor bar, you can spy on diners from on high. In keeping with the unique and offbeat vibe, it wasn't surprising to find that the Welsh Red Thai chicken curry was absolutely delicious, as was the fig and apple crumble, made from juicy fruit grown on the estate.
The Restaurant: relaxed dining room, estuary views. Local produce, seasonal menus. All-day menu, open daily. Afternoon tea served 3-5pm.
