Hotel Review
LX Boutique Hotel, Lisbon, Portugal
Overlooking the Tagus River, close to the central market and the bars of Rua Nova Carvalho, and on one of the city's principal streets, Rua do Alecrim, it would be hard to be more in the centre of Lisbon's beating heart than this bright and youthful, well-priced hotel. The two former townhouses have been infused with a breezy vibe from the blue-and-white colour schemes both outside and inside, to the airy style, fun feature wallpapers and pod-like bathrooms of the spacious bedrooms - some with balconies. The large dining room, with its tempting breakfast buffet, turns into a sushi restaurant from lunchtime, with dishes making good use of local seafood.

Style & Character
Definitely perfect for the young, and young at heart, who like being close to some of the city's best night-time action. We love the way the big windows, which don't have curtains, flood the downstairs restaurant and bar with light.
Service & Facilities
If you're a sucker for Lisbon's signature sweet pastry, the pastel de nata, you're in luck; complimentary plates of them, plus a glass of port, are available each afternoon.

- Restaurant
- Complimentary cakes

Rooms
All the third floor rooms, whatever standard, have a balcony; the best with a river view - though rooms at the back are the quietest. The windows have white shutters instead of curtains which means even the standard rooms are flooded with light.
Classic Room, Superior Room, Rooftop Suite
Facilities include: ensuite bath or shower, free toiletries, hairdryer, TV, free Wi-Fi
Food & Drink
The large windows of the dining room, set above the street level, mean you'll have plenty of opportunities for people-watching; be sure to bag a window table. We love the Californian temaki - avocado, crab, prawn roe and sushi rice.
Confraria: Portuguese breakfasts, sushi, gyoza, noodles. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
