Hotel Review
The Jockey Club Rooms, Newmarket, Suffolk
A stay in The Jockey Club means having access to a famous institution that used to only be open to members. It's a unique opportunity to experience a home-from-home, and a grand one at that, popular with royalty and historical legends alike. The walls are lined with fabulous paintings from Munnings - known as one of England's finest painters of horses - to more recent portraits, including the Queen; an avid horse racegoer and visitor to the Club. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful, and there are good places to dine nearby in Newmarket too. It's an ideal base for horse race enthusiasts but also anyone who loves elegant surroundings with a rich history.
