Hotel Review
Occidental Santa Cruz Contemporáneo, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife
Barcelona and Santa Cruz de Tenerife are both maritime cities with ramblas, tree-lined pedestrianized avenues perfect for a paseo (stroll). But where the Catalan capital lies next to the Mediterranean, Tenerife's capital has the Atlantic at its shore. This bijou city is also an eighth of the size of Barcelona. It's got bustle without the hustle and the genteel three-star Occidental Santa Cruz Contemporáneo would suit those looking for a central base for a medium-haul metropolitan break. The ethos behind the Barceló Hotel Group's Occidental collection is smart but relaxed. It's stylish, with less of a price tag. If you are travelling on a budget and don't want to skimp on sophistication, this selection of hotels is a great choice.
